WASHINGTON, DC–The Hispanic Leadership Fund (HLF), the first center-right non-partisan national Latino advocacy organization, today announced the launch of a digital audio ad campaign in both English and Spanish promoting Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court and thanking U.S. Senator Cory Gardner for his support.  The campaign is expected to reach up to 200,000 voters.

The ads emphatically emphasizes the proper role of any judge, and especially a Supreme Court Justice as “someone who applies the law faithfully,” and “who will set aside politics and their personal preferences.”  It commends Judge Barrett’s distinguished career and asks constituents to call and thank Sen. Gardner for supporting her nomination.

“When judges stray from the law and choose to substitute their own political whims, the result is harmful to the Rule of Law and to democracy itself.  A Supreme Court justice serves a lifetime appointment, and it is imperative that they abide by the Constitution.  We’re proud to take that message to Latinos in Colorado, and are grateful to Sen. Gardner,” HLF president Mario H. Lopez said.

The ad comes on the heels of the Senate Judiciary Committee voting to move forward with a vote on Barrett’s nomination, with a vote to confirm her on the floor of the U.S. Senate expected to follow.
