HLF President Mario H. Lopez is in Kansas City, MO today at the Winning Back America event organized by Preservign American Liberty, a grassroots group based in Kansas City. Lopez spoke to the crowd of about 4,000 people discussing the need to reach Latino voters across the country by emphasizing shared principles and policies that promote prosperity and encourage job creation. The full-day event featured an variety of speakers including former Senator and presidential candidate Fred Thompson, former Congressman J.C. Watts, and Gov. Sarah Palin.
“The crowd was very enthusiastic and supportive–i was happy at the positive feedback from attendees,” Lopez said. “Some of the demographic numbers really drove home the point that communication to Hispanics is not just desirable, but necessary, and the points about Latino values seemed to encouraging to people.”
