Fox News Latino published the most recent opinion piece by HLF President Mario H. Lopez, which covers the current dispute in Washington  over extending the payroll tax cut. President Obama has made this issue a central part of his messaging strategy, and Republicans have argued against the extension, contending that the cut has failed to stimulate the economy.  Lopez writes:

That is why it is especially disappointing that President Obama has chosen to turn the payroll tax cut into a campaign issue: not only is it likely to continue his record of implementing policies that have failed to stimulate the economy, but it gives Americans false hope that businesses will create desperately needed jobs.

President Obama’s focus on the payroll tax focuses attention away from the real issue: government overspending.
