Lopez regarding the breach at the U.S. Capitol building and the violent siege conducted by a large mob as Congress attempts to fulfill its Constitutional duty to count Electoral votes from all 50 states:
“Those guilty of this violence and destruction are beyond disgraceful. All of those who participate in this this attack must be held accountable. It is a disgrace that President Trump is refusing to denounce these individuals and their actions even after reports of someone being shot. What is happening is nothing less than a direct assault on our Constitutional Republic and all government resources need to be marshaled to repel this insurrection and restore order.”
