Statement on Final Passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

WASHINGTON, D.C.–Hispanic Leadership Fund president Mario H. Lopez issued the following statement following final passage of the GOP tax reform bill in Congress:

“The Hispanic Leadership Fund applauds today’s historic vote in Congress providing a much needed reform of our tax system.

“Providing tax cuts for middle-class American families will expand opportunities for all to achieve the American Dream.  Expanding the child tax credit will ensure that more money goes back into the pockets of working families.  The pro-growth elements of this bill will spur job creation and incentivize businesses to stay or move to the U.S.

“This reform bill will result in bigger paychecks for all Americans, lower the tax burden on hard working taxpayers, and create jobs.  We look forward to President Trump signing this bill before Christmas as promised.”
