WASHINGTON, D.C.–The Hispanic Leadership Fund issued the following statement for its president Mario H. Lopez in response to the U.S. Senate voting to confirm Betsy DeVos as the next Secretary of Education:
“The Hispanic Leadership Fund commends the Senate for voting to confirm Betsy DeVos as the next Secretary of Education. Mrs. DeVos has been a tireless advocate for the future of our children and parental choice in education. We strongly believe that Mrs. DeVos will make a positive impact for our children just as she brought positive results in her home state of Michigan.”
The Hispanic Leadership Fund previously sent a letter to the U.S. Senate in support of Mrs. DeVos’ nomination.
