Ranked among Newsmax’s 50 Most Influential Latino Republicans, Lopez-Reyes is Chief Consultant of Wolf & King Strategies. His work has been featured on The Daily Caller, C-SPAN, and PBS, among others. Lopez-Reyes served the Joint Intelligence Operations Center Europe Analytic Center in imagery and counterterrorism from 2002 through 2010. Lopez served as National Vice Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus between 2011 and 2015. In 2012 he served on Utah Governor Jon Huntsman’s New Hampshire presidential campaign steering committee. In 2016 he served as National Co-Chairman of Republicans for Johnson-Weld and spoke on every stop of Our America Initiative’s national 2016 Liberty Tour. He is currently a member of Our America Initiative’s Defense and Foreign Policy Council, the board of American Unity PAC, and the Advisory Board at Libertarians for National Popular Vote. Prior to his military service, he worked for US Senators Hank Brown and John H. Chafee and was the founder and chairman of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Rhode Island.
Lopez-Reyes holds an MA in International Relations, Middle East and Arabic from Durham University, a BA in Political Science from University of Rhode Island, and certifications in Arabic language studies from American University in Cairo. As a PhD candidate in Intelligence Studies at Durham University he was a Visiting Scholar at Brunel University’s Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies. In addition to his writing on politics and public affairs, Lopez-Reyes is a frequent guest feature writer and contributing editor on several publications focused on music. Ed holds municipal elective office in Greenwich, Connecticut and serves in the Army National Guard.
