Earlier this month, HLF filed an amicus brief supporting a lawsuit brought by the Federation of Americans for Consumer Choice to prevent a harmful new fiduciary rule from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) from going into effect. Our previous post about the case is here.
A second suit challenging the fiduciary rule has been brought, led by the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI). ACLI was very impressed with our brief and asked us to file a similar brief in their case.
We look forward to a successful resolution of both cases and another defeat for the Department of Labor’s misguided regulatory push that will hurt low- and middle-class Americans’ ability to create wealth.
